Shanda Norton was born and raised in Colorado. She married her high school sweetheart, and they recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. Her husband had a 30-year career in law enforcement and has now retired. Together, they raised two beautiful daughters who are the lights of their life, and they are now blessed with two grandsons who keep them on their toes.
In Colorado, Shanda and her family owned and operated a small farm where they raised horses, cattle, and butcher hogs. This experience taught their children responsibility and how to care for and nurture animals. Shanda was a licensed Realtor in Colorado for many years, and when her husband retired from law enforcement, they decided to move to Idaho. They chose Orofino for its beauty and found it to be the perfect place for their horses and their love of outdoor recreational activities. With Dworshak Reservoir, Clearwater River, and Snake River all within minutes of their home, they can enjoy the activities they love without having to travel far.
Shanda attended the North Idaho Real Estate Academy in Coeur d'Alene and joined the United Country Steelhead Realty team. She chose to work with United Country because she admires the people she works with and the community she lives in. She appreciates United Country's marketing tools, which she believes every seller should demand, including interactive mapping systems, property videos, virtual tours, aerial photography, and national advertising.
Shanda's favorite part of being a Realtor is helping people find their dream property. Whether buying or selling, she is dedicated to helping her clients make their dreams come true. Continuing her real estate career after moving to Idaho was an easy decision for Shanda, as she believes in finding a job one loves. For her, every day feels like a vacation. She loves the outdoors and enjoys spending time with her family through activities like hunting, camping, paddle boarding, boating, riding horses, and ATV riding. Living within minutes of her favorite recreational areas is a dream come true for Shanda, and she is passionate about helping other families find their dream properties as well. Every day she wakes up and looks outside, thinking, "I must still be dreaming!"
